Energy Dynamics is a specialty mechanical services company and large industrial-engine repair facility offering services to the power generation, marine and stationary reciprocating engine industries. Based in the Northeast, ED offers a full range of industrial engine services, including engine overhaul, specialty machining, and parts supply as well control/automation system troubleshooting and upgrades.
Our exceptional reputation is built on a solid understanding of a variety of engine types, including high- and medium-speed engines fueled by diesel, heavy fuel, anaerobic digester gas, landfill gas, associated drilling gases, and natural gas as well as these fuels in combination.
Projects include cogeneration systems; utility prime, peak and emergency power; pumping stations; ship propulsion and generators; and fuel cell technology. We take great pride in our ability to provide customers with a unique blend of engineering talent with hands-on practical experience.
We are headed by experienced and degreed engineers who have significant experience as operating engineers and hold U.S. Coast licenses qualifying them for service aboard diesel and steam-powered ships of unlimited horsepower. Our marine background uniquely places us to understand the importance of best-in-class work performed right the first time and backed by well-qualified technical professionals.
Unlike most large engine repair facilities, we’re not an engine OEM reseller/dealer primarily selling engines and OEM spare parts with service as a secondary enterprise. Rather, we are dedicated to state-of-the-art repair, overhaul and machining, and we excel at the most demanding of custom work necessary to meet customer requirements. As an independent specialist repair firm, we do not have the constraints of the OEM authorized service centers, so we can offer significantly more flexibility, better response times and custom-engineered solutions backed by warranty.
We are networked with a global supply chain for new and replacement engine parts of major domestic and European engine types and work actively with engineering firms in the U.S. and Europe to develop parts that exceed the performance and price point of those offered by OEMs.
We have performed comprehensive engine rehabilitation work on engines from a variety of manufacturers that have been shipped to us from as close as our shop facilities in Maine to as far away as Southern California.
